Blackburn Spray Park Project

Gentech provided engineering and field services for the City of Salmon Arm in the design and construction of the Blackburn Spray Park. This unique project required a high level of detail and coordination from preliminary design through construction. The major components of this project included:

• 360m² reinforced concrete spray pad;
• 25+ spray features;
• supply, drainage, and electrical lines;
• a drainage vault (for winterizing); and
• a utility control cabinet.

Gentech was responsible for the topographic survey, preliminary and detailed design, obtaining permits with approving authorities, tendering, contract administration, site inspection, record documentation, and liaison with city representatives, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders. This project was completed in December 2016 with the grand opening occurring the following spring.
